The convention will kick off with an exciting opening night event

sponsored by the Minnesota News Council and the League of Women Voters
in cooperation with MNA. They will present a 2010 Pre-Caucus Gubernatorial
Debate on Wednesday, January 27, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event is free
and open to all convention attendees. All major party candidates for governor
have been invited to participate in this debate.

The debate is a “must-attend” event. With precinct caucuses one week later,
this is a unique opportunity to see and hear the candidates. If you have
questions you’d like to see asked at the debate, please submit them via e-mail
to info@news-council.org.

More detailed information can be found here.

A pre-debate reception is set for 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. You may purchase tickets
to the reception in advance, with the convention registration form, for $25.

Register for the debate here.
